I am a passionate and innovative Professor with 20 years of experience in higher education. My approach to teaching balances kindness and understanding with the desire to help students cultivate core professional skills for life after college. My teaching portfolio spans introductory to advanced courses, and I have had the unique opportunity to lead study abroad programs in Europe, Africa, and Asia. I also contribute to undergraduate training in neurodevelopmental disabilities in the SC LEND program. I completed my research training at Carnegie Mellon University, where I focused on early cognitive development. My current research interests delve into children's relationship with nature and the psychology of meat consumption in childhood.
