Ernie began his career as a financial advisor with A.G. Edwards & Sons in 1982. The bear markets of 2000 and 2008/2009 had a profound effect on his investment approach. In 2009 he began a search for a better approach to protect his clients and himself and provide a smoother financial voyage. He has developed and refined a dynamic risk management process that the Wright Wealth Management Group of Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. calls the On Course Navigation process. It is designed to help determine where you are now, where you want to arrive, and charts a course for dealing in real time with your critical life events. The On Course Navigation process is coupled with Wright Wealth Management's risk managed models that are designed with the use of technical analysis to minimize the effects of market disruptions and bear markets for better overall investment experiences.In his time outside the office Ernie is a 45 year member of IPTAY, Clemson University's fundraising organization, serves as IPTAY Representative, and is a member of Clemson Football Coach Dabo Swinney's Fantasy Camp, which supports Dabo's All In Team Foundation. He is a mentor in Jeff Davis' Tigerhood, a mentoring program for Clemson football athletes. He also sailing and spending time on the water.
