I am a creative and innovative learning professional with 30 years of experience in adult education. While my first love is direct teaching in the classroom, I now work at scale bringing learning to tens of thousands of support professionals across the Microsoft support organization. It is a special pleasure to see a learner experience that 'aha' moment where it all comes together, and they are able to apply new ideas to their own lived experiences. I believe in hands-on learning, interactive learning where adult learners take in new information and build skill through their own actions. 'See it for yourself' is the best way to bring about changes in behavior.This is the core design philosophy of our new Agent Copilot Prompt Skills Lab. Learners are taught the basics of prompt engineering and challenged to improve their prompting skills through iteration and hands-on practice. Leveraging a sophisticated rubric, learners craft improved prompts by detailing their goal, context, expectations, and source. When our engineers see improved Copilot results through their own skill improvement, it acts like a flywheel. Classroom practice leads to real world practice, and results drive deeper engagement with the lab material. The improvements they see for themselves are the most powerful and enduring lessons.
