Erwin works as policy officer public transport at provincial government Utrecht. His prime focus is public transport network development with due regard to the appropriate balance between land use and transport. His background as urban and regional planner provides him the ability to understand and subsequently optimise interrelationships within multidisciplinary projects. He feels strongly about the interface between land use and transport planning and is a big advocate of an incremental approach to planning and implementation of public transport. He has communicated his views and ideas at a number of transport conferences and published in professional magazines.
