Esau Mushali is an experienced Environmental, Health/Safety and Social expert, with four years working experience in facilitating and implementing environmental, health safety and social programs including; carrying out environmental and social assessments for various projects' proponents; enforcing and implementing both International and local Standards.Among others, Esau managed to assist in carrying out over 20 environmental and social assessments (ESAs); assisted in the development of Environmental and Social Safeguards tools under Equity for Quality Learning in Schools (EQUALS) Project, Malawi Digital Project; Lilongwe Water Sanitation project, Agricululture Commercialization I Project (AGCOM I), Global Fund NFM III Project, QSS Project, Southern Africa Tuberculosis and Health Systems Support Project (SATBHSSP), Construction & Mining Projects and among others. Esau worked as an Environmental and Social Safeguards Assistant and Environmental/Social Safeguards Officer for Ministry of Health- National TB Control Program and Environmental & Social Research Consulting firm respectively. Esau also worked with a Non Governmental Organization - Facilitators of Community Transformation (FACT) as Programmes Associate responsible at coordinating education, health, gender, human rights and environmental programs. He further worked as Environmental and Social Safeguards Officer at Bickia Cement Ltd Company in Malawi.Currently, Esau is working as Health, Safety, Environment and Communities (HSEC) Specialist at Environmental and Social Sustainability Limited (ESS) attached to Chilwa Minerals Limited (CHW)- a Heavy Mineral Sand Exploration Project in Malawi especially in the districts of Machinga and Zomba. Esau holds a Master of Arts in Rural Development (pending) from Indira Ghandi National Open University (a public University in India) as well as a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science obtained from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (a Public University in Malawi).
