Based in Astana, Kazakhstan, I am a sustainability advisor to major investors and companies, focused on implementation of best practice in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. I specialise in improving project bankability by aligning projects with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) expectations of investors.I possess over 12 years of wide practical experience in in various sectors, such as oil and gas, mining, marine research as an environmental engineer. I also possess an experience in coordinating development of Environmental Impact Assessment for the biggest project in Kazakhstan (Future Growth Project for Tengiz oilfield) as Environmental Permitting Team Lead, as well as in conducting environmental impact assessment studies myself as a contractor for various projects.I was also selected among many candidates for the position of Environmental Specialist at Kazakhstan Development Bank, whose objective at the bank was to bring Bank’s inner policies and procedures to compliance with national legislation and international ESG standards. At the Bank, I ensured compliance with environmental standards in various fields, such as mining, energy, tourism, and agriculture.
