Intake Paralegal
Current1. Screening tenants for eligibility for our services by telephone and in-person, includingobtaining necessary demographic data, determination of eligibility, and scope of client’srequest for assistance2. Coordinating follow-up client services, including appointments and referrals, draftingclient correspondence, gathering documents and other information.3. Grants management, including creating and maintaining client-related files. Data entry,copying, scanning, uploading and distributing documents, and ensuring completion ofcompliance requirements.4. Using language assistance resources including translation and interpretation servicesavailable to assist Limited English proficiency clients and community members.5. Attend court as part of Universal Access to Counsel initiative (“UAC”). Attendadministrative hearings on behalf of, or with, clients.6. Answering questions and helping to acclimate staff to intake procedures.7. Distributing basic client service information materials.8. Assisting case handlers on client-related matters, including making phone calls, sendingcorrespondence and obtaining information.9. Entering and tracking information in electronic format, including databases and grantmanagement systems and other formats, running reports with the data, and assisting inpreparation for audits.
