JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSEIntegrates Electrical Maintenance departmental activities into plant operations to ensure safe, reliable, cost efficient operation. Provides Electrical Maintenance organizational guidance, direction, leadership, and planning for all departmental related activities. Leads the overall Electrical Maintenance direction, planning and performance of departmental cost activities to ensure achievement of budget goals and identifies Electrical Maintenance training needs, contracts support, budget preparation, and oversight for departmental corrective action, training, and work activities.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESSupports continued growth of Electrical Maintenance departmental employees.Fosters an environment of continuous improvement in Human Performance, Industrial Safety and Radiological performance.Works effectively with the Management Team setting priorities, allocating resources, and driving to operational leadership.Establishes an environment which fosters a strong safety culture.Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills, strong management and leadership skills, and strong teamwork and problem solving skills.Ensures Electrical Maintenance compliance with applicable requirements, regulations, procedures, and specifications. Responsible for planning and coordinating preventive maintenance activities. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: -- Work effectively with the Management Team setting priorities, allocating resources, and driving to operational excellence. -- Write job plans for the modification and preventive maintenance of plant equipment. -- Develop and maintain the detailed work schedule for preventive maintenance. -- Develop "what if" schedules and perform analysis with the working groups to determine the most effective method of performing preventive maintenance work. -- Update the work management and scheduling software programs. -- Provide reports to system engineers to define work scope. -- Coordinate with Operations to determine the scope of tagging system boundaries. -- Conduct critical path analysis for outage schedules. -- Assist with development of post work critiques. -- Facilitate the interface between work groups. -- Identify deficiencies, analyze alternatives, and recommend solutions to schedule conflicts. -- Perform First Line Supervisor duties. -- Perform field observations of personnel to reinforce standards and expectations and identify gaps in performance. -- Work with management to identify and address performance deficiencies. Recommend and implement actions to improve gaps to operational excellence. -- Recommend changes to existing methods, procedures, and processes to improve overall outage activities. -- Communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing. -- Observe and ensure compliance with procedures and policies. -- Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization

Became Tier 1 qualified electrician in 14 months from start of training. Successfully completed MOV acquisition training. Started Tier 2 qualifications. Excellent understanding of nuclear power generation, its systems and procedures as applied to operating plant in manner consistent with public safety.
