What is Ideation Marathon?Ideation Marathon is the first of its kind in Egypt, where a group of creative thinking camps are held in different regions throughout Egypt to train young people on how to generate ideas and create innovative solutions to real societal challenges in Egypt and the world. Challenge :The Marathon concept addresses one of the challenges of Egypt 2030 Vision for Sustainable Development and works to develop ICT-based solutions where participants are racing to develop innovative solutions based on the latest IT applications and tools within the stated challenge.In this marathon, competition for solutions to the challenges of the culture pillar through the applications of modern technology (such as enhanced reality technology, image processing, data, IOT and digital geographic maps) is shared to contribute to the achievement of strategic objectives in this area:1-Supporting cultural industries as a source of strength for the economy.2-Raise the efficiency of cultural institutions and workers in the cultural system.3-Protect and promote heritage.Among the most important challenges facing Egypt in the culture pillar:-Lack of digital information about heritage. This challenge underlines shortcoming in coping with international technological developments, which affects the ability of Egyptian heritage to attract tourists.-Encroachment on archaeological sites and threats to sites from groundwater. Cultural sites face many threats from infringements on the physical site and from geological risks that may lead to the loss of this cultural wealth.-Protection of intangible heritage, including Egypt’s important cultural treasures, Trough digitization archiving and tracking.-Disparity in the availability of cultural services among govern-orates.

What is InnovEgypt program?InnovEgypt Program is a training program in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship directed to university students in ICT specializations who are aspiring to be future innovators and entrepreneurs, either through establishing their own innovative start-ups or through manifesting skills that are highly required by local and multinational companies.InnovEgypt is a program that consists of 3 Main modules:1. Innovation & Technology Management Module : This module is considered as the base on which the whole program is built upon. It gives the students a clear understanding of innovation, types, means, importance, sources, models, and how to switch thinking and business direction in to an innovative one. Plus supporting the students with the most important methods, means, tools, real life examples that will help them through the way. Then, linking innovation with new ICT technologies and how to discover, predict, and use new modern technology to create innovative ideas.2. Ideation Module : Egypt Ideation is the first of its kind in Egypt, where student will learn how to generate ideas and to create innovative solutions to some of the greatest problems in Egypt and the world! During the module the student will learn how to become a great innovator and we will give you an important task to solve. As the world needs innovators and entrepreneurs who can create solutions for today's problems.3. Entrepreneurship 101 Module : This module covers the basic concepts of entrepreneurship and provides detailed training on the essential tools required by potential entrepreneurs to start up their new small businesses and inspire students to become a successful great entrepreneur. It also developing entrepreneurial skills that are highly required by local and multinational companies.
