Provided assistance to the lead teacher by implementing learning activities to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. During the Pandemic I unfortunately lost my last position due to budget cuts and a hiring freeze. I decided to utilize the time off from work to be the primary caregiver for my elderly mother, who became very ill at the time and needed multiple intensive and major surgeries. I provided housekeeping such as: laundry, cleaning, and preparing meals. I administered medication when needed and provided a clean and calm environment to aid in a smooth recovery. While caring for my mother and actively looking for work, I’ve learned and gained the skills to be patient, compassionate, empathetic, attentive, and to have a positive outlook on life. I believe that these skills will aid in my job candidacy and in life as well and I am now excited and ready to return to the workforce.

Greeted visitors and students as they entered the library, confirmed proper identification, and provided general information and directions. Performed light clerical work within Google Sheets to keep track of how many people entered the library, provided computer tickets for visitors to the library, and provided access to the Kyle Morrow room for events, conferences, and meetings. Conducted routine book shelving and kept printed materials well-stocked according to the LCC system.
