During the first year of my PhD program I was a teaching assistant for an undergraduate biology lab course. I gave presentations and lectures, assisted students with laboratory work and experiments, and provided feedback on weekly lab assignments.

During the final year of my Master's degree I coordinated a large-scale research study evaluating the feasibility and preliminary outcomes of a school-based social-emotional learning program, The Taxi Dog Educational Curriculum. In this position I contributed to research grants and proposals, coordinated data collection across 35 schools, collected data from teachers and students, developed and maintained databases, ran data analyses, and prepared reports and presentations on project findings.

I received training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and worked with a 4-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder. During biweekly sessions with the client I implemented an ABA intervention which included teaching and reinforcing language, motor, social, and cognitive skills. Once a month, I met with a behavioral consultant and the client's parents to identify areas of improvement and establish future goals for the client.

I worked with small groups of children, ages 2-13, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I led games and activities focused on teaching various social skills, such as effective communication, perspective-taking, and peer negotiation. I also assessed changes in baseline levels of functioning, outlined goals, and completed progress reports for each client.
