• Directed Greater LA Program Office of NFTE, empowering over 12,000 local LA youth from low-income communities with critical entrepreneurial skills for life-long success• Led a team of 6 full-time employees towards achieving strategic goals in alignment with organizational vision, creating a culture of engagement, collaboration, and accountability• Mentored our NFTE Greater LA students, who have won First Place at NFTE’s National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge 4 out of the past 7 years, besting thousands of students from across the country• Created a Development Plan and build fund development efforts, growing a budget of $335k in FY10 to $1.15M in FY15; cumulative amount: $4M from corporations, foundations, individuals, and earned income• Ensured sound fiscal management of the organization, utilizing limited resources wisely and ending each year in a surplus• Developed a leadership team of 11 Advisory Board and 20 E-Council (Junior Board) members to build sustainability and generate broader-scale support from local communities• Instituted Advisory Board and E-Council restructure for significantly increased engagement (Advisory Board raises 43% of annual budget and E-Council raises 10% of annual budget)• Launched strategic partnerships with organizations (Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Ernst & Young LLP, and USC) to create mutually beneficial synergies• Spearheaded the creation of new fundraising events, including Made in LA (panel discussion featuring LA’s top entrepreneurs), Regional Challenge (business plan competition for top LA students), and Charity Golf Classic (tournament in partnership with the Private Equity Association of LA), raising $140k in FY15• Constructed and execute a 3-year strategic plan with feedback from key stakeholders, with a corresponding scorecard to track progress and outcomes• Conducted a local research study to evaluate impact on students’ life skills, including public speaking, accountability, teamwork, and collaboration
