I managed a high-volume artisan cafe and restaurant in Broad Ripple, Indianapolis. I immediately implemented a budget and within 6 months grew the company's profit by 155%. I developed intimate connections within the community, collaborating with local business owners to host events and develop strategies to increase revenue. I curated a positive and healthy work environment based on communication, respect, and care. I installed a gallery space to showcase and promote local artists, selling over $1K worth of art in each exhibit. I collaborated with the James Beard nominee Chef Sal Fernandez to revamp our menu with fresh new flavors, and developed new strategies for growth and improvement in product and service with the GM and Executive Chef.

I contributed to the bi-monthly college publication as a science columnist and graphic designer. I created the template for the printed newspaper in Adobe InDesign, as well as proofed submissions from other writers. I led news team meetings and developed story ideas, as well as using my connections and experience at Earlham College to provide references for interviews and material for storywriting success.

I am the host of Reality 404, a Tuesday night radio show covering topics in science and technology.

I found myself in the position to either let the station fade out of memory, or make it new...Now we are the hottest spot on campus for live and recorded music, hosting events and creating a community of students and local music-lovers. Each of our event has over 30 attendees, and more in-person radio shows than ever. We will be hosting Earlham College's very first outdoor music festival, with artists coming from Richmond and Indianapolis. We also have developed professional collaborative relationships with the Office of Student Life, the Center for Visual and Performing Arts, as well as literary and culture clubs.
