I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado with a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling. I have been in the counseling field for about 8 years and have experience working with adults, adolescents, families and couples. I specialize in counseling women in the areas of grief/loss, trauma recovery, depression/anxiety, divorce recovery, eating disorder recovery, self-esteem and feelings of shame, and relationship/couples work.I love my work as a counselor and the opportunity it provides to validate my clients' experiences, to help empower them to make positive choices, and most of all, to help them see that they are not alone. We all have problems. We all struggle. I believe counseling can offer the support needed to connect and find a greater sense of freedom, hope and joy in life!

Manage clinical services while maintaining open and timely communication with all administrators to ensure consistency in treatment for clients.Provide on-going supervision for a team of clinicians as well as providing co-therapy services to support the requirements of the Department of Regulatory Agencies.Oversee the completion of documentation of clinical work (individual, group, and family notes, as well as assessments, treatment plans and social histories) as mandated by Medicaid requirements and county contracts. Responsible for reviewing and signing off on monthly treatment reports.Serve as a liaison for the organization with referring counties on an on-going basis. Process referrals from the counties and perform intakes to admit clients into residential treatment.Work closely with members of Multi-Disciplinary Teams to effectively coordinate client care through treatment planning and discharge planning. Responsible for providing therapeutic treatment recommendations for on-going client care.Develop monthly treatment plans and identify achievable goals in order to help stabilize client mental health.Manage a caseload of up to 12 clients weekly. Duties include remaining in consistent contact with MDT members regarding client progress, developing treatment goals/plans, facilitating weekly individual and family therapy sessions, and ensuring that client needs are met in a timely manner.Facilitate weekly group therapy sessions for clients with offense specific treatment needs as well as leading weekly groups focused on addressing issues within the clients’ milieu.Maintain updated case management notes, progress notes, and monthly treatment plans in a timely and efficient manner.Lead psycho-educational trainings for co-workers on a various topics including, but not limited to, trauma symptoms and treatment, supervisory training, and engaging resistant clients.

Counseled children suffering from abuse and neglect through the use of play therapy and behavioral modification techniques.Planned and organized two separate therapy groups on a weekly basis.Maintained updated progress notes and case management notes on individual clients.

Counseled adult clients with severe and persistent mental illness weekly, as well as performing on-going case management, including acting as a client advocate and writing weekly progress notes.Planned and led weekly group therapy on life coping skills.

Spearheaded and implemented an agency wide reorganization project in order to streamline in-coming paperwork for referrals and intakes.
