I work with an amazing team of Trustees and Volunteers, empowering local women to get active.We run an all female, non-competitive community sports club. A weekly timetable of events offers hiking, road cycling, mountain biking, swimming lessons and open water swimming challenges.Through grants and funding we are proud to offer enhanced privacy swims, for ladies who experience barriers to swimming in a normal swimming pool environment. We also support refugee women in local hotels who need basics such as footwear, to get themselves outdoors and active.Challenges form a large part of our culture and I can often be found doing something crazy. In recent years with girls ALIVE I swam across the English Channel as part of a relay, the following year we then swam around the Isle of Wight and in 2024 became the 548th person to swim an Ice Mile! Prior to that I organised two virtual London Marathon hikes, completed the London Classics as well as the 3-Peaks Challenge.girls ALIVE is an amazing community and I value every moment I get to spend working on such an epic project.
