As founder of OptionLab Inc., I am responsible for the growth of the company and direction of the product. I have a passion for helping people and organizations make better decisions, and OptionLab is software that facilitates data-driven, collaborative decisions.Prior to founding OptionLab, I served as a Vice President at VMS, a consulting firm that helped multidisciplinary teams make decisions about large transportation and infrastructure projects (among others). We recognized that the same techniques that can help government agencies make better project decisions could help so many people in so many industries. Even personal decisions! It was from this collaboration that OptionLab was born.I have many years of experience in web-based software development. I am the author of Web Development with Node and Express, published in July 2014 (see below for link), and Learning JavaScript 3rd Edition, published in February 2016. I have also presented at OSCON and Node Interactive (see below for links).I hold undergraduate degrees in mathematics and computer science from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an MBA from Portland State University.
