Worked alongside another student doing research under the chair of the biology department through the Summer Science Research Institute at Conn. Studied mating behavior and behavioral isolation between populations of Drosophila melanogaster. Presented in front of students and faculty. Came back for a second Summer where I continued research working on the same project. Worked with different stocks of flies and gained more experience in the lab. Prepared food, counted, sorted, mated, dissected and helped with experimental design. Used contingency chi-square test and other statistical analysis. Created and presented a poster as a part of the SSRI Poster symposium.

For Math 110 Networks and Their Applications. A course about the origins and fundamental concepts of graph theory with the goal of then utilizing that knowledge of graphs to solve real-world problems. Held a 2-hour tutoring session each week and graded weekly homework.

Cultivated effective relationships with campers, parents and other camp counselors by utilizing active listening and dynamic interpersonal skills. Engaged children in arts and crafts, singing, sports activities, games and field trips while maintaining safe environment. Checked on campers struggling with various social and recreational skills to maintain camper and parent satisfaction.
