Due to WORTH Digital's acquisition, my role was carried over to Kerv Digital.In my current capacity, I serve as a Software Engineer on The Funding Service (TFS) for UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). I implement features using various technologies such as React, Next.js, Fastify, Postgres, Flyway, and AWS. I also contribute to the Software Design of the project by designing solutions, creating technical documentation, and joining architectural discussions with the Tech Leads of the project.Roles and responsibilities:- Implementing features in Typescript following the Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Domain Driven Design (DDD) methodology, thus maintaining codebase stability, conciseness, and reducing the risk of bugs- Feature enhancements and code refactoring to maintain high quality, reusable, and consistent code throughout the codebase for greater user experience and value to the client- Writing End to End, Integration, and Unit tests for increased Product Confidence, and Code Integrity- Deploying services to Amazon Web Services using Terraform.- Upholding code quality by reviewing other engineers’ pull requests- Thorough process analysis to investigate, prioritize, and address possible system failures- Regular participation in Scrum Ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and feature refinement meetings.- Feature demonstrations to Project Stakeholders- Mob programming for instantaneous code quality checks and clear communication between engineers- Writing documentation to maintain understanding amongst engineers- Maintaining Ubiquitous language documents and Domain models to ensure stakeholder clarity - Researching new technologies and presenting this to the company to assist with operational decisions - Onboarding new joiners to our tech stack- Training, guiding, and mentoring Junior SEs - Constantly training by doing courses to ensure I can deliver high-quality and impactful work, and to help train clients to maintain the code we leave behind

As WORTH is a digital agency, I’ve had the opportunity to work on multiple projects.These projects include:The Funding Service (TFS) for UK Research and Innovation (UKRI): Initially written in Nunjucks w/ Express, I assisted with converting this project into a React Application using Nextjs. The purpose of this product was to allow research organizations to apply for grants/funding from the UKRI councils. AXA Health App for AXA Health: This is a React Native mobile application supported by a C# backend. This is a mental well-being and physical health tracker app that offers insurance benefits and health support for its users. As a Web Developer, I collaborate with the CTO to develop user-centric and high-impact web pages to improve the user experience.- Responsible for Infinity-IOT’s Client-Facing and Back Office User Interface (UI) design and User Experience (UX).- Delivering engaging user experience through optimization of UI design, code, and cross-browser compatibility.- Expanding features, refining code, improving processes, producing smoother operations, and enhancing user engagement.- Designing dynamic and browser-compatible pages using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.- Developing meaningful and impactful reporting services using VB.Net and MySQL.- Developing desktop applications in C# allowing IOT sensors to write data to the database.- Maintaining efficient, high-quality, and reusable code across the website, as well as continuous feature optimization and round-the-clock debugging.- Managing integration of new sensors and liaising with sensor manufacturers.- Website Walkthroughs and demos with customers.

At Infinity, I'm responsible for finding meaningful and impactful ways of representing IoT sensor data.At the start of my internship at Infinity, I was initially meant to just assist with the UI, and improve the look and feel of webpages, but after showing that I am capable, I've since been responsible for building new webpages onto the portal that add value to the customer by making it easier for them to monitor their sensors and also build reports on historical data.Working at Infinity has improved my experience with JavaScript, JSON objects, APIs, MariaDB/SQL Databases, Back End Development, CSS3, HTML5, and VB.NET.
