My work as a pharmacy technician has given me valuable patient interactions. I have learned how to navigate any types of issues they may have such as wrong medications dispensed, refilling prescriptions, and insurance issues, in addition to much more. This job has taught me how to respectfully and calmly deal with patients no matter how aggressive they may be. In addition, I have also gained valuable teamwork experiences. I work in a very small space with my coworkers and manager for sometimes up to 9 hours a day. I have learned how to build meaningful and professional relationships with other employees. I have also learned how to collaborate effectively with my other coworkers as well as rely on them for help when I need it. Whenever there is a problem, I am able to communicate effectively and find a solution in an efficient and effective manner.

My experience as a freight associate has taught me how to work collaboratively with others. As a freight associate, I worked to unload a large truck, with sometimes up to 1500 boxes, in an efficient and safe manner. I also put these boxes away on the store shelves after the truck has been fully unloaded. This job has also given me experience in dealing with our customers. I have learned how to respectfully and efficiently get customers what they need, even if they act rude towards me. In addition, I have also learned to seek help when I do not know where something is located or there is something I am not licensed to do.
