The Executive Producer is responsible for the oversight of all Collegian TV-produced content. The Producer reports to the RMSMC CEO regarding all operational and programming issues related to CTV. The Executive Producer will ensure that the organization will produce weekly at least three shows relating to local news, sports and entertainment content during the academic year (not including first week of the Fall/Spring semester, or during finals week), per the operating agreement between RMSMC and Colorado State University. The CTV Executive Producer is also charged withthe continued growth with our Snapchat show, CTV In the Streets.As a division of Student Media, the Executive Producer is charged with implementing CTV’s organizational goals:- Enhance students’ undergraduate education through training and hands-on experience in media methods, management, ethics, responsibilities and community service.- Produce journalistic, sports, and entertainment programs that consistently rank among the nation’s best and that serve the CSU and Fort Collins communities.- Provide diversity in coverage, as well as create and maintain a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.- Maintain a financially strong organization.- Adhere to all the RMSMC Code of Ethics and the Radio Television Digital News Association’s code of ethics.- Respect the dignity, privacy rights and well-being of everyone, and to refrain from discriminatory practices.- Devise an effective marketing strategy so that the greatest number of CSU and Fort Collins community members as possible watch CTV’s programming.- Work with advisers to maintain student management position jobdescriptions, advertise all vacant positions, interview all qualified candidates, hire, train and provide constructive feedback, direction and support for new managers.- Monitor an annual student payroll and related budgets and submit signed payrollauthorization forms on time for student staff entitled to receive pay.
