Ethan Tomas is a Western Australian actor, director, singer, and composer, and is a gold member of Actors Equity (MEAA). He trained at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in the Certificate of Music Theatre and HIAT programmes.Ethan trained as a pianist and vocalist, and began writing music during his studies. This led to Ethan composing the score for the long running fringe musical, CHECKOUT! the Musical. Recently he has composed music to accompany Vivienne Glance’s Fringeworld 2016 debut of the play Underground.As a screen actor Ethan has recently appeared in Greenfield (2015), The Kingpin’s Daughter (2015), The Things I Never Told (2015) and The War That Changed Us (2014). Ethan is credited as the role of Geoffrey Birch in the Foxtel & Showtime adaptation of Tim Winton’s Cloudstreet and other film credits include the short film Light As A Feather, music videos for Riley Pearce, One Thousand Years, and Luna Parade, and TV commercials for International Womens Day, ATCO Gas, Muzz Buzz, Java Juice, and Lotteries West.In 2015 Ethan was awarded the Western Australian Screen Award for Best Performance by an Actor, for his portrayal of the character James, in Tino Film’s web series Greenfield. In 2016 Ethan was again awarded for this performance, being the recipient of the Best International Actor Award at the KWEB Festival in Seoul, Korea.As a voiceover artist, Ethan has recorded for marketing campaigns for the City of Perth, Satterley Homes, St John Ambulance, REIWA, and Keystart Home Loans, Muzz Buzz, Edith Cowan University, and more.In 2005 Ethan was a nominee for ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Western Australian Equity Guild Awards for his performance in John Aitken’s Imperial Facade.
