I'm a Literature Scholar and Teacher with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. I'm currently a doctoral student at the University of Southern California, working towards a Ph.D. in English with a graduate certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies. Prior to starting my doctoral program, I served as an adjunct Lecturer at Chapman University, teaching courses in Rhetoric and Composition. I hold an MA in English from Chapman University and a BA from Whittier College, double-majoring in English and Political Science with a minor in History.My scholarship is focused primarily on the fields of Queer Studies and Latinx Studies. My major interests lie in Temporality, Affect Theory, Performance Studies, AIDS Literature, and Contemporary Queer and Latinx Literature, particularly YA Literature.
