First and foremost, I am a recent graduate of Texas State University, and I hope that I can begin to put my academics into action and begin to make a real difference in my community. My degree is in Electronic Media and Mass Communications with a concentration in sports media.I chose this degree because I’m a storyteller at heart and I believe electronic media is one of the most important channels available to share the world’s amazing stories with others. I specifically focused on a sports media concentration because of the amazing back stories of grit, determination, and perseverance associated with so many individuals, teams, and fans.From football to eSports, I’ve grown up watching many professionals, like Mike Breen and Gus Johnson, leave their mark on the sports world with their personality and desire to tell a good story. I am now ready and willing to roll up my sleeves to learn what it takes to develop, produce, and bring these stories to life for the community of San Antonio. I look forward to working with a team to support them in any capacity as I learn more about what it takes to be successful. Most importantly I also believe that an internship of this caliber will also help me better understand how I may be able to begin making my own mark on the world of sports media.
