I am a Senior at Penn State University Studying Industrial Engineering. In my time at Penn State, I have had many great educational and social opportunities to grow as a person. Throughout my 3 years as an Industrial Engineering Student, I have studied the optimization of different processes and work environments, as well as gaining many technical skills. I have achieved a GPA of 3.55 in my major thus far. I am excited for the personal and educational growth that my final year at Penn State is going to bring.This summer, I have been working as a Reliability Engineering Intern at PPL Electric Utilities. This position primarily focuses on the maintenance and optimization of electric distribution systems. My role has taught me the ins and outs of problem solving and effectively communicating in a technical environment. I am also working on a workflow process optimization team dealing with the improvement of distributed energy resource installations. I have gotten the opportunity to learn many different processes, such as the use of business management systems, control reporting, workflow optimization and customer service. This has been a great experience thus far, and I cannot wait to see where it will take me in the future.I am also currently working as a university viceroy for Barstool Sports, running their Penn State Barstool social media accounts with a combined 330,000+ followers. This includes creating content, promoting and selling merchandise as well as reporting on current events within the community. I have also received the opportunity to cover Penn State Football games on social media while in the media booth, and will be doing so again during this upcoming season. My other specific responsibilities include managing the team and reporting results back to Barstool Headquarters leading content creation, and designing graphics for various upcoming events.I also started my own social media company in 2017 as a sophomore in high school that has accrued over 61,000 followers on social media (Hoops Empire). The account primarily focuses on basketball coverage, and keeps up with current events while giving my opinions and analysis. It has blessed me with the opportunity to collaborate with large companies such as BodyArmor, Fanduel Sportsbook and IcerBrands wholesaler. All in all, running the account for over 5 years has taught me discipline, communication and a plethora of design skills that I use on a daily basis. I will be searching for a full-time position post graduation in May of 2023!(Last Edited August 2022)
