As a research assistant in this lab I am conducting DNA extractions of tissue samples from snakes. After extractions are complete we will use electrophoresis to determine DNA quality. Additionally, I help to maintain our current snake collection associated with the lab.

In this position I scanned and digitized older patient records and integrated them into the EHR system. I also was trained in HEDIS work and helped to schedule patients for sick visits and wellness checks. Additionally, I became acclimated to insurance and would call patients to update them on insurance policies and their current plans.
