Ithaca’s Youth Entrepreneurship Market & Training Program (YEM) was launched in 2017. The goal of the program is to offer basic business startup training, and to connect area students with local entrepreneurs, helping kids bring a product or business idea to life. We focus on teaching students about the entrepreneurial mindset, to bring creative thinking and problem solving to any passion in life. The program offers training and inspiration sessions, culminating in a series of open-air community markets held throughout the year. Many of the YEM students have gone on to start their own businesses, side hustles, or community projects based on the tools they've acquired through the program.
