In this team, my two main KPI’s were to reduce churn and improve the client renewal rate. I held a client portfolio worth between $2.5 to $3 million. In addition to these two main responsibilities, I acted as the escalation point for client pushback on annual price increases as well as for a range of invoicing issues. Part of my role was to hold regular meetings with my highest value clients to keep track of customer health and any ongoing projects the wider Sovos team were completing for the client. In order to carry out this role, I learnt to use a specialist Customer Success tool called Gainsight. On top of this, I used Salesforce extensively for the wealth of customer information it held.

In this team the main responsibility was processing client excel data through the company’s own specialised software, then sending confirmation to the client on their Insurance Premium Tax liabilities for various territories. During my time in this role, I spent a lot of time collaborating with the clients to help them improve the data they send us. The benefit of this action was that it helped to reduce the amount of manual manipulation required for many data sets. This role has helped me develop my excel data manipulation skills as well as communication skills. My clients were all international insurance companies including various entities of Allianz. From here, I was promoted again, this time into the Customer Success team.

The first role I held at Sovos, from October 2018 to November 2019 was based in the Client Money team as a Client Money Accountant II. My responsibilities as part of this team included allocating payments in and out of our Client Money Account under the relevant regulations, setting up, checking and authorising multi million euro Insurance Premium Tax Payments to tax authorities. As well as this, I was part of a team designated to develop a new piece of software. This involved attending planning meetings, testing the software and helping to provide feedback for the developers. From the Client Money team, I was promoted into the Compliance Services team.
