Completing progressive projects as an effort to expand, streamline, and maintain backbone infrastructure critical to day-to-day operations. Spending 2 and a half semesters (half a year) working on a migration project for our department's Datacenter Inventory manager (DCIM). The DCIM migration project required constant communication with our internal team as well as outside contractors of the software side. I felt I had learned a decent amount of communication skills from the project as well as a lot of technical information surrounding corporate IT Infrastructure, such as enterprise network structures, network taps, firewall layers (NIDS), enterprise storage infrastructure, among other things. As the project went on, I was expected to complete day-to-day work such as the break-in and maintaining facilities items such as Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Power Distribution Unit (PDU), and Cameras. Given this role I felt I was tasked with learning and figuring out new technologies by myself sometimes. I appreciate the opportunity it gave me to show I was capable of learning new technologies. During my fourth semester with the company, I led fellow interns as an effort to increase the responsibilities given. I handed out assignments given to the intern group pertaining to the Maintenance of the DCIM tool, Power management, Configurations, and other facilities work. I enjoyed the company of the fellow interns and being able to help them with whatever they needed, either with the work they were assigned or anything about corporate 'life'. Overall, I think my time with The Cincinnati Insurance company has prepared me for a future in IT no matter what I might do, I learned how to do things independently and how to seek the appropriate help required. I am thankful to my Service Manager Mark Caudill, my Resource Manager Malinda Rose, and my mentors through the program: Nick Benjamin, Lilia Goodbar, and Jim House.

I accomplished a satisfactory form of customer service as well as an overall knowledge of products in the Lumber Department. I am proud to have met and connected with fellow associates as well as the managers of the store.
