As an undergraduate researcher in the Guldberg Musculoskeletal Engineering Laboratory at the Knight Campus, I am given the opportunity to expand my knowledge of predictive algorithms and statistical analysis to determine proteomic markers for orthopedic outcomes within novel datasets. My experiences in the laboratory also consist of cell culture for cultivating bone mesenchymal stem cells, fabrication of injectable bone-like hydrogels using robotic assisted bioprinting, fluorescent confocal microscopy, and 3D image processing and analysis utilizing programs such as Imaris and Amira.

Participated in an assortment of the following types of techniques/investigations: in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, confocal and light microscopy, RNA-Seq bioinformatics analysis, q-RT-PCR, molecular transplants, and basic molecular biology. Utilized knowledge in R and Imaris to process images to extract quantitative values, create plots, and produce statistical analyses.
