As Treasurer of the Deakin Commerce Society Burwood campus, I am responsible for the planning and management of the society's financial responsibilities. This role places me on the society's executive committee, where I further assist and liaise with other executives on the operations of the broader organisation. This position has allowed me to expand my knowledge in financial management and gain hands-on experience in my study area. This position has further strengthened my collaboration and leadership skills within an environment resembling the professional world. Whilst Treasurer, I managed the payments of our society's largest event, the Annual Commerce Ball, where we sold over 320 tickets and made a profit. This role required me to contact numerous vendors, organise arrival, set up times with our venue, and manage our expenses as the revenue from the ticket sales came through. As Treasurer, I also ordered the finances for our crypto-currency Q&A and other smaller events, resulting in our society running a profit for the year.

Balwyn North, Victoria, Australia

As the Meat and Dairy teams leader at the new Coles Local in Balwyn North, I organised the teams delegating work to each member and training and working with new employees. This role allows me to fine-tune and adjust the layout and stock levels to maximise customer satisfaction and increase department revenue. My most outstanding achievement in this role has been during the 6-month transition from a Coles fleet store to a Coles local; there was an increase in department customer satisfaction result of 10%, and I was nominated for the big things start here award.

In 2019 I joined the Coles Balwyn North Team as a team member and was trained in Fresh Produce, Meat, Grocery, Diary and Service. Having all these skills allowed me to work across all the departments and assist customers in any way possible. This training also allowed me to help other team members and departments when required and function in all the department teams. My most outstanding achievement in this role was being selected to join the small and successful Meat team we have in store and learn how to improve the finer details to produce a quality result.
