From a young age, I was always fascinated by the healthcare field. In an attempt to discover my passion for healthcare, I partook in a medical mission trip to rural Vietnam. Amidst encountering many patients feeling helpless due to the lack of accessible healthcare, I learned the importance of empathy and open-mindedness. It was eye-opening to see that many patients were unable to prioritize their health due to marginalized circumstances. The finite time spent here further inspired me to further my efforts in advocating for healthcare accessibility and equity. The extracurriculars I am involved in help me develop into a better, more competent person who always strives for the best for myself and the community in which we live. Through these experiences, I have become more disciplined, culturally competent, and most importantly, selfless. Hello! I am Ethan Vu, an incoming PA-S1 student at USC. I enjoy mentoring and teaching the youth at my local church how to be ideal Christians and well-rounded individuals who go on to serve their faith and the society in which we live. In my free time, I love surfing, hiking, golfing, and listening to music.
