I applied a community development perspective to the outreach and engagement of U.S. agricultural producers around conservation. By recognizing that agriculture producers already have strong land ethics and conservation values, utilize the communal wisdom of their fellow producers and neighbors, and earnestly work to be the best producers they can be, we can advance conservation/regenerative agriculture in the United States while protecting the autonomy of family farms, respecting the power of choice, and elevating win-win-win solutions that befit people, planet, and prosperity. As a part of this work, I have:-In 5 states developed complex, multi-year coalitions, engaging partners from academia, NGOs, agribusiness, federal and state government agencies, and local farmers-Facilitated the work of these coalitions for 2 years, resulting in 10 different digital and in-person conservation ag outreach events that reached 2,000+ farmers, during the height COVID-19 pandemic-Oversaw the strategic development of conservation focused farmer producer groups in 4 states, facilitated the meetings, collaborated with farmers in the development of a curriculum arc for future producer group meetings in their area-Worked with a group of 6 conservation-minded farmers to capture their efforts and expertise in print, digital, and video media
