As a key member of the Communications Department, I work with the teams in Oceana (Campaigns, Research, Science & Strategy, Legal) to plan and execute communication strategies to promote Oceana’s science-based campaigns in the Philippines.

Leads a team in crafting and executing communications strategies for organizations in advocacy-centered initiatives on a per-project basis. Responsibilities include: project management, client servicing, content production, regular consults with management teams on overall communication strategies and executions. Recent engagements include INGOs, NGOs, PR agencies, including: Bayi Inc., iLEAD, Gugma PR Consultancy, Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP), Galing Pook Foundation, FleishmanHillard Manila.

Crafted and implemented the communications strategy for the GCAP Global Network, composed of 66 National Coalitions and several constituency groups. This includes communications for different thematic campaigns including the Global People's Assembly (GPA) 2023 held during the UN General Assembly (UNGA) Week, People’s Vaccine, International Day for Women and others. Other responsibilities included: writing (statements, press releases, annual reports, website posts, social media posts), website management, coordination with regional focal persons. Led the Communications Working Group for the GPA 2023 to ensure the launch, coverage, documentation and post-event reporting for the hybrid event. Led communications teams in on-ground and digital efforts in supporting the main communications strategy of the presidential campaign for Leni Robredo. Responsibilities included: crafting and executing a communications strategy for Robredo People’s Council National, supervising deployment of documenters and creatives for sorties, supervising content production for digital and traditional media, managing volunteer creative groups in providing communications support for the national campaign, coordinating with political and sectoral organizing teams to ensure an integrated and strategic approach for the national campaign team.

Supervised and developed Educo PH’s communications & advocacy efforts in its focus areas in coordination with Educo’s Global Advocacy and Comms Teams, Country Office Teams, Regional Technical Teams and other ChildFund Alliance members. Responsibilities included: planning, development and execution of the Country Communications Plan including policy issues and recommendations pertinent to program implementation and advocacy work, C4D production, and knowledge management.

Supervised a team in crafting and executing strategic communications plans which included project documentation in and outside Metro Manila, and content production of materials relevant to the OVP’s flagship anti-poverty program Angat Buhay for digital and traditional media.

Was part of the strategic communications team responsible for crafting and execution of strategic media plans for Sen. Aquino’s senatorial campaign. Responsibilities included content generation for use in Senate hearings on Sen. Aquino’s proposed bills, production and dissemination of content relevant to the advocacies of Sen. Aquino for digital and traditional media.
