YOUNGO is the official youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). As part of the Cities Working Group, I help advance the collective voice of cities in the climate negotiations and push for meaningful youth engagement. I co-led event programming and moderation of a side event at World Urban Forum (WUF) 11 with over 6 youth and high-level speakers and over 100 participants on the topic of Enabling Youth in Building Resilient Cities of Tomorrow. I also helped prepare the cities policy brief of the Global Youth Statements forwarded to the COP26 and 27 presidency, and performed a group review and provided expert comments for Chapter 6, WGII: "Cities, Settlements and Key Infrastructure" and Chapter 8, WGIII: "Urban Systems and Other Settlements" of the 6th IPCC Assessment Report.

Supported country-level and regional urban development programmes and projects (particularly under the Cities and Climate Change Initiative) in the Asia-Pacific region at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, with continuous coordination between internal and external stakeholders. - Developed project documents and proposals including theories of change, logical frameworks, stakeholder engagement strategies and environmental-social safeguards, including a US$3 million Government of Japan funded marine plastic litter project.- Co-authored a Socioeconomic Impact Assessment of COVID-19 in the Pacific with 10 country profiles incorporating an urban resilience framework and data from literature reviews, interviews with government officials, household surveys and geospatial analysis. Policy recommendations used by government in planning for a green recovery.- Provided substantive inputs to capacity-building tools and training materials for policymakers to integrate climate change into National Urban Policy, and a Planning and Design Guide for Urban Climate Change Resilience in the Philippines.- Shaped the regional COVID-19 response and resource mobilisation strategy for country teams and donors, including formulating guidance for engaging in informal settlements.- Conducted knowledge management activities, helped plan and organise an online workshop, and reviewed 6 country-level COVID-19 data projects, presenting at a global corporate data meeting attended by over 50 urban professionals.

Alongside postgraduate studies, I worked with an urban planning firm and local community action group to produce a feasibility study and strategic planning proposals for a multi-use community space in a deprived area of Sheffield, alongside general administrative support. - Engaged with a range of stakeholders including community groups and the local authority to assess their needs and the demand for facilities using surveys and focus groups, acting with tact and diplomacy in responding to concerns.- Studied existing precedents, organisational structures and available funding options including community grants and shares to make recommendations on how to create new partnerships and a sustainable finance strategy.- Researched Neighbourhood Planning policies relating to renewable energy schemes, sustainable transport, community facilities and heritage assets, compiling case studies and examples to serve as guidance.

Collaboratively produced a comprehensive report and presentation on 'Using Geospatial Data to Build Urban Land Registries', with specific focus on post-conflict Liberia. Assessed and analysed the major capacity, resource, and institutional requirements of several surveying methods, with a comparative, in-depth evaluation of 4 country case studies using the Fit-for-Purpose Land Administration framework. Findings and recommendations used to inform ongoing advisory work by the ODI's Budget Strengthening Initiative in Liberia on strategies to strengthen property taxation.
