Manager Digital & Channel Evolution

After nearly a decade of focusing offshore I wanted an opportunity to contribute to something of significance domestically, and the ACC ‘no fault’ accident compensation scheme that is world leading was a great opportunity. In this role I led a team of amazing product owners operating in SAFe Agile, a team of UX designers and a customer support team across all three customer groups for ACC (Health Provider, Business and Client). My focus for my first year was building capability in my teams around customer centricity and performance, segmentation and insight driven decision making, and worked to establish several proof of concepts to inform future investment decisions in the 24/25 FY.

Director Of Innovation

Wellington, Wellington Region, New Zealand

My focus for this role was overall programme design and direction, a successful Treasury funding drawdown, opportunity identification, establishing partnerships, senior level stakeholder management and mitigating the numerous hurdles to innovation within the fabric of Government. A core focus was also exploring what ‘giving best effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi’ looked like in the context of International Education in New Zealand. The Government has signaled that the International Education Sector needs to transform from a predominantly inbound mobility model to one that has a diversified portfolio of products offered through in-person, virtual, offshore, and blended that focus on New Zealand's recognised strengths on the global stage.ENZ has been asked to lead a programme of test and learn pilots out to the end of 2023 to explore what this transformation could look like working with a range of industry and government partners and I’ve been given the opportunity to direct the programme. We’ve delivered several successful pilots and are continuing to grow the portfolio for the remainder of the programme in order to deliver an insight informed recommendations paper to the cabinet, whilst growing an exceptional community of cause partners.
