Commanding Officer - Operations Bureau Emergency Operations And Preparedness Section

A citywide leadership role accountable for coordinating with partners across all levels of government to strengthen the NYPD's comprehensive, risk-based emergency management programs of preparedness, response, mitigation and recovery. As the Commanding Officer of Emergency Operations and Preparedness, I am responsible to develop and preside over Department and Interagency mobilizations, table top, functional and full scale exercises. In an effort to enhance agencies operations I partake in executive level overviews of unusual events, enhancing the Department's emergency response plans and existing policies.

Executive Officer - Nypd Counterterrorism Bureau, Critical Response Command

As a result of the evolving terrorism threat picture in NYC, I was one of two Department Executive's selected to create and lead a uniformed counterterrorism command, within the New York City Police Department. This required the development of a system responsible to recruit, select, equip and train 525 members, spanning multiple ranks. Through internal processes and collaboration with numerous external partners, the unit's mission, policies, procedures and practices, were established and clearly defined. A command recognized on a global scale provides New York City with layered security measures to sensitive, iconic, and intelligence driven locations.

Captain - Special Operations Bureau, Emergency Service Unit

Commanding Officer- Emergency Service Unit-Specialized Training School I commanded all phases of training operations (initial, in-service, drills) for 400 members. Consistent evaluation in training, policies and practices is required as these officers mitigate the most sensitive, dangerous and challenging assignment's law enforcement officers face. Special Operations Division Citywide Tour Commander During the course of my tour I was responsible for all swat operations/hostage/rescue events, occurring within NYC. I represented the NYPD at numerous inter agency operations/special events/sensitive assignment's ensuring the establishment of effective incident command.

Captain- Detective Bureau (Narcotics Division)

I commanded a staff of 7 supervisors, 35 investigators and 8 undercover officers, responsible to conduct all long and short term narcotic investigations in lower Manhattan. I collaborated with Precinct Commanders, Detective Squad Commanders and Federal Agencies, ensuring effective and targeted enforcement, addressing all narcotic related concerns of business owners and community residents.
