Performed various systems analysis and design activities. Was instrumental in logical design sessions. Described functionality, created mapping documents and flow-charts on system and job levels. Interfaced with the business community to discuss the system design and analyzed their suggestions. Transformed user’s business requirements into functional and programming specifications to improve system’s performance and flexibility.

Involved in the analysis, design, and development of the Mainframe Services, Point of Sale, and Preferred Provider Organization subsystems.Designed on-line CICS applications that perform data transfer, reformat, validation, inquiry and update functions processing high volume of client requests incoming from CICS and Web platforms. Created interfaces to process MQ messages and XML transactions utilizing MQSeries and Data Power products performing data routing between front-end and back-end applications. Worked on upgrading to the PPO sale subsystem to migrate the active current and future PPO’s from the current DB2-VSAM platform to the new DB2 platform. Modified batch portion of the subsystem to populate new DB2 database and automate the migration processing

Participated in the analysis, design, and development of the I2K billing system.Constructed new job streams and batch modules to receive information from the servers, trigger subsequent jobs, and update appropriate DB2 tables performing database switching and validity checks according to business and technical requirements. Verified activation, deactivation, and upgrade functions utilized POS and ACSS front-end software and I2K back-end applications to ensure that all functionality meets business requirements.

Redesigned numerous batch modules, which perform billing and revenue calculation and generate statistical and exception reports.
