Created the JMLRT application, an Ice faces, JSF application, inside a Liferay portal on an Oracle Application Server.The JMLRT application used the WorldWind GIS applet to consume an ESRI GIS WMS service and displayed a map of the globe featuring medical facilities and asset stores supplied by an Oracle 10g clustered data warehouse. Graphic selections on the map and menu selections within the jsf framework provided the user a table view of asset quantities for 13, joint, military and civilian programs. This view of inventories provided decision support for routing assets from a facility that is nearest to a crisis situation.The application implemented Hibernate to map domain object data beans with their DBMS tables and Spring to organize them within the application.I was the sole developer of this project, aided by an ArcGIS systems engineer.

Redesigned the object-oriented framework, communications protocols, OLTP data structure and security for our flagship application – Total Promo, an electronic promotion and sweepstakes drawing tool for the casino gaming industry. Evolved Total Promo from a thick Java client application that connected to a SQL 2000 database via ODBC to a JDBC connected, rich client application suite that not only provided swing apps for game and promotion configuration but also Flash applications for actual gameplay and sweepstakes drawing.The application utilized JFC swing, Adobe Flash action script, JEE with Apache Tomcat, SOAP Windows Services, Web Service and security management with C# .NET and MS SQL 2000.

Led a team of java middleware developers and database programmers along with AutoCAD and Microstation developers to complete the end to end connection of the CAD client module for TRIRIGA Project, a design to construction, web based, specification management system.The system was designed around JEE on a WebLogic application server driving the middleware and an Oracle 8i/9i backend. These JEE applications were developed on Linux development servers and deployed to a Tru 64 Dec Alpha server. I designed the full flow of the CAD module describing the client side "Intelligent Persistent Cache", java request objects, session servlets, session and entity EJBS, XML, data access objects etc. for maintaining drawing status, item counts, and "intelligent graphical recognition" of cells and blocks for instant posting of items to the database. Customized the front end, CAD application, using JAVA and/or C/C++, to talk to the JEE web servlets.

Developed the user interface and code for the Oasys Systems Control and Data Acquisition application. This system provided a graphical interface with which to regulate and direct the flow of water throughout the Las Vegas valley. Development was done in a proprietary language similar to Pascal and the system connected to a Sybase DBMS. Some development in Perl was also necessary.

Wrote utility scripts and service daemons in Bourne shell, or Korn shell. • Wrote many Microstation MDL – ‘C’ utilities to customize Microstation’s workspace within a Windows NT/H.P. Unix hybrid environment.
