Eusebio Diaz has more than two decades of leadership experience in nonprofit, philanthropic and social advocacy organizations that positively impact the marginalized and underserved. A tireless champion of initiatives that provide meaningful, real-world solutions to pervasive social issues for minority and at-risk communities, he leads valuable conversations at numerous seminars and conferences regarding capacity-building, optimizing the grantmaking process, and expanding workforce diversity within the nonprofit world.Eusebio currently serving as VP of Strategy, Learning, and Communications with Health Forward Foundation in Kansas City. As Chief of Staff for Episcopal Health Foundation, he led efforts to develop and deepen internal understanding of DEI-related opportunities and challenges at the organizational level. He was also a member of the senior leadership team, in his capacity as trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and liaison to the Board of Directors. As Vice President of BHFSA, Eusebio managed the grantmaking process for almost $7 million in annual awards, with approximately $65 million awarded since the Foundation was established. He oversaw a portfolio of 100+ active grants at any given time, served on numerous nonprofit boards and planning committees, and was a key advisor during the BHFSA’s successful transition from a hospital board to a philanthropic one.Prior to joining BHFSA, Eusebio was the Grants Manager for the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation. Their key funding areas include health and human services, arts and culture, wildlife and parks protection, and assistance for Texans who are victims of natural disasters. Eusebio focused on identifying and correcting service gaps to meet more specific social advocacy and need-based goals. As the Program Director for the Middle Rio Grande Development Council, Eusebio led a $6 million program to assist low income working parents with childcare costs, increasing the number of families served by 200% in 18 months.Eusebio is a USAF veteran, and earned both his BA and MA from the University of Texas San Antonio. He recently served as a member of the Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel for the US District Court, Southern District of Texas, which resulted in the appointment of Judge Yvonne Ho. He was also the Recipient of the San Antonio Business Journal’s Healthcare Hero Award in 2016.
