Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of weekly payrolls within the U.S. for approximately 23,000 employees.Provides leadership, guidance and development support to the Payroll Team.Review payroll data for accuracy before submitting.Assist the Assistant Payroll Manager with all aspects of payroll, and act as the day-to-day contact for processing issues.Ensure proper execution of payroll including audits, bonus processing, special payments, and issue resolution.Reconcile and resolve the inputs and outputs of payroll processors.Answer employee questions and investigate issues.Effectively apply and train the payroll team on standard operating procedures.Ensure team adherence to scheduled work tasks, policies, and procedures.Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting.Build relationships of trust, respect, and partnership with end users by providing superior customer service.Assist Payroll Processors with diffusing escalations.Import and audit weekly payroll data.Check for errors within PeopleSoft and resolve any out of balance conditions.Assist with termination payouts, following the respective State guidelinesTrain new payroll employees.Support the Assistant Payroll Manager with directing daily work.Verify and adhere to internal and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.Maintain organized payroll records in compliance with established retention policies.Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and operational activities.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Federal and State laws, including FLSA.
