I am a Team Leader in an adult residential service in Limerick, with nearly seven years experience in this role and seventeen years experience with supporting those with Intellectual disabilities and ASD. I am responsible for supporting & supervising a team of over sixteen people, preparing rotas, timesheets for pay, managing local training requirements and implementing & monitoring local governance in line with Rehab policy & HIQA standards. I have completed much training over the years, including; Sexuality Awareness, Safe Administration of Medication, Epilepsy Management, Supervisory Skills, Conflict Resolution, Manual Handling, IOSH managing safely, ASIST Training, Asperger Syndrome Awareness, MAPA. I hold a Level 6 in Youth & Community studies from UCC and a Level 7 in Management from UL. I have a clean B, C & D1 drivers license. I volunteered with the Irish Red Cross for 5 years & am trained up to Cardiac First Responder level.I have been a Voluntary Youth Worker since 2001, helping to run 'Fishbowl Youth' in Scariff, Co Clare. Within Rehab Care I ran a Youth Group for Asperger teens which during it's course, was very successful, receiving praise from parents, social workers, case workers & internal management within Rehab Care.I have ten years experience in a busy children's respite service, with 55 service users having diagnoses of Autistic Spectrum Disorder. I have good working knowledge of HIQA, it's standards/outcomes within social care setting. I have experience of group facilitation and training and enjoy motivating others in striving for excellence within our service.
