She:kon / Greetings I am a passionate advocate with a comprehensive background in front line, social service, volunteer and non-profit work, also seasoned with over 15 years in administration, and customer service. I am rooted in my second generation & status member Kanien’kéhaka Haudenosaunee heritage, with a strong family history as a descendant of a missing and murdered woman (my Great Grandmother), as well as lineage as a intergenerational residential school survivor (my Grandmother), and Ontario training schools (my Father). I am claimed by my urban Indigenous family in what is now known as "Niagara" with direct family links to Kahnawake-Akwesasne. I have living experience and understanding in regard to intergenerational residential school survivors, detribalization, urban Indigenous and trauma informed practice. I am trained heavily in harm reduction, peer support & radical mental health first aid with a decolonial lens. I also offer a Indigiqueer Neurodiverse perspective.I am committed to driving positive change, with both lived experience and education in kinship with community here on Turtle Island.Nia:wen / Thank You
