· Developed innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges within New Product Development (NPD) and also did a stint in New Product Innovation (NPI), where I came up with 2 designs to solve an ongoing issue (patents pending), that brought comfort claims improvements, an iconic design and a reduction of the cost per unit of -50%.· Assumed full ownership of work packages, designing and building iterations of functional rigs that demonstrated the feasibility of the concepts. Validated those designs by running user trials, performance testing, thermal testing, FEA, etc. and iterated on the design. Owned a whole project and led a team of +5 people (SDE, DE) where I liaised with the Design Manager and created timeline plans to deliver on cost, on time, and to specifications.· Coordinated with other teams (Fluid Dynamics, Industrial Design, Quality, Manufacturing, IP, Procurement,...) to ensure alignment and compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.· Challenged existing Test Methods and created a new one.· Line managed and mentored 3 interns and undergrads.· As an extra curricular, I lead a global Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) initiative and was a speaker at international product launches with +100 attendants.

Owned all phases of the design of 3 MEWP models:· Initial sketching and calculating of the machine’s integrity.· Drew every part (sheet metal) in Autodesk Inventor and conducted FEA as well was making structural calculations by hand in Excel.· Prepared all the documentation (BOM using Karve, technical drawings, hydraulic and electric schemes using AutoCAD, user’s manual, designed the safety decals in AutoCAD,...)· Implemented new procedures, and prepared all relevant documentation for the ISO 9001:2015 certification audits.· Liaised with national and international suppliers and clients.· Calculated the cost of the machine and reported it to the executives.· Designed Movex’s website using Photoshop and coded it on Wordpress.
