Poundmaker’s Lodge is known as Canada’s first addictions treatment centre specifically for Aboriginal clients. Poundmaker’s offers 3 distinct programs: a 42 Day Residential Treatment Program designed for adults 18 years of age and up, a 90 Day Young Adult Residential Treatment Program specifically designed for young adults between the ages of 18 to 24 years who are Alberta residents and the Iskwew Healing Lodge which is an aftercare facility for women.

Degree student-completed 400 hours at Individual and Family Well-Being under Family and Community Supports. City of Edmonton offers short term counselling services to the residents of Edmonton; services include psycho educational groups focused on domestic abuse and men's issues. Such services are valuable but also involve specific training in the cycle of abuse, group theory, and solution focused therapy.

In my role as a treaty pay clerk, it was my responsibility to coordinate treaty pay events that occur on treaty 6, 7 and 8 in the Alberta Region. This involved use of Microsoft EXCEL and WORD systems to organize the details of any event. Building a relationship with those on first Nation communities meant that they were regularly contacted and informed of the process.
