I am a 20-year-old Business and Management (Human Resources) 2nd year student at Bournemouth University! I also work as a call centre representative for i247, a fleet management company. I greatly enjoy both my course and my work, and I am aiming to achieve highly in both.In the future, I would like to take on a HR role. As such, I am making a conscious effort to improve my communication skills, emotional intelligence and problem solving - three skills I believe are a crucial basis for anyone looking for a career in HR. I do believe I have a good handle on these skills as is, but there's always room to improve!I am a vocal activist, particularly for the LGBTQ+ community, as I am a member, as are many of my friends and family. I have joined several youth groups or support groups aimed at those who identify as LGBTQ+ over the years, and love to engage with my community. My main hobby at the minute is crocheting, and this year I've taken on the role of Treasurer of BU Threads, a crafts and yarnwork society. I've also taken an interest in cooking, not least due to the amount of freezer food I ate in my first year of being at university!
