I am a Lyft driver. I was initially doing this part time while I was working at Walmart. After leaving Walmart, I did this full Time until I started working for Norfolk Public Schools. I drive for Lyft during the longer breaks in teaching. Like winter break, spring break and during the summer. I some times drive during the weekend when I am all caught up on my grading and all of my lesson plans are done.

I am a member of The American Legion Post 327 (a veterans organization). I also do a good amount of volunteer work with the American Legion. I have set up blood drives with the Red Cross, organized and conducted fundraisers to donate money to local charities, helped clean the post, helped with the honor guard. I am currently the Post's Chaplain. I was the Post Adjutant for almost 4 years. It is almost equal to an administrative assistant in an office. Once a month, we have a post meeting. I take notes of the executive and the regular post meeting. After I type up the minutes, I post them in the common area of the Post. I also monitor the Posts e-mail, organize and maintain paperwork. I also have to submit something called "Consolidated Post Report" once a year. I have to collect information from all of our members and consolidate it and submit a report. I also have to help with processing of membership (which includes the handling of money) and do other various office duties.

Every year, I am a "Team Captain" for the Alzheimer's Association walk. I help recruit people to participate in the walk, raise money, set up fundraising events, and I have previously came early to help set up on the day of the walk. For the year 2020, My team has raise $10,235 (as of August 20th 2020) so far for the current walk.

The "AIM" part of the Alzheimer's Association, does a lot of advocacy. I have written dozens of e-mails and letters to various people in political office. We are always advocating for more money for research and support for people that are affected by this horrible disease.

I was the department manager for three departments. The three departments that I was over was Housewares, Bath and bedding. I had multiple associates that worked in my departments. My roles and responsibilities had me do a lot of merchandising and making sure the associates were doing what they were supposed to do. I had to submit multiple reports a week. We also had to take care or recall items, make sure my department was stocked, inventory counts were accurate, assist customers and occasionally help other departments.

I was one of the managers over the front end. I was often the closer for the front end. My daily duties and responsibilities had me supervise up to a couple dozen people at a time. I had to make sure everyone received all their allotted breaks and meal breaks. I also often dealt with tens of thousands of dollars in cash at a time. We had to also complete so many register audits a day. My area that I supervised was the gas station, all the registers on the front end, the money center, customer service and I often got called to other departments to assist customers with issues and with register issues in other departments. I also supervised the courtesy associates (cart pushers).

I was an electronics sales associate. Since there were was a register, I did ring up customers. We was had a photo lab and I had to know basic knowledge with the machine, just in case the photo associate wasn't in and I could take care of the customer. I also had to have a good knowledge base of the electronics that we sell. I received multiple awards while working in the electronics department.

I am an Asset Protection Associate for Wal-Mart. I investigate, deter, detect theft and apprehend shoplifters. Often, I have to press charges. I have extensive experience with the courts and the police. I regularly conduct Merchandise Protection and Safety Assessments and implement any needed corrective measures. I regularly conduct training with associates for reducing shrink and working safely.

I was an Sales Associate in the Lawn and Garden Department. There were many roles and responsibilities that I had to attend to. Since there was a cash register in my department, I did have to ring up customers. I also had to stock, clean, water the plants, pick out the dead plants and get them out of our inventory and throw them away. I had to be fairly knowledgeable with our plants and answer questions that customers may have.

I am a certified tour guide. I assist with opening and closing responsibilities, give tours, answer questions, help with the overnight program, special events, annual inventory at the gift shop, set up and take down of ceremonies, set up of Christmas Town and haunted ship.

I spent two years as Naval Security Forces (NSF) on the ship I was on. We provided security, law enforcement, provided assistance to the Damage Control teams and Medical teams when they responded to emergencies.the rest of the time I was on the ship, I was in the Supply department, assisting with inventory management, report writing, helping the ship store and other supply duties. During my weekly duty day, I was part of the In port Emergency Team. We responded to fires, flooding, medical emergencies, etc. We also provided emergency response training to rest of the duty section. I was also part of the Diversity Council. We would organize monthly presentations and events for specific groups. For example, women’s history month, Hispanic heritage month and black history month. I was also part of the Command Assessment Team. Once a year, all of the sailors complete a survey about the ship and the command. We would analyze the responses, write a report and present it to our chain of command.
