-Location and protection of Diamondback Terrapin nests, a turtle species with a conservation status of “threatened” in Massachusetts. This involved setting up exclosures and/or relocating vulnerable nests. -Nesting data, including GPS coordinates and descriptions, were inputted into a spreadsheet which was forwarded to the State of Massachusetts.-As a part of an ongoing population study, terrapins found in the field were PIT tagged and their physical characteristics were recorded for tracking purposes.-Wildlife education was provided to the public through nature walks with Mass. Audubon groups, the Jr. Park Ranger Program, and terrapin releases through the Massachusetts Wildlife Head Start Program.-Cross-trained with the shorebird monitor staff to assist with the protection of Piping Plovers and Least Terns.-Worked closely with the Natural Resources staff to find over 500 diamondback terrapin nests and 83 piping plover nests over the course of two seasons.
