In two consecutive summers, I worked at CLC as a general counselor. Responsible for upwards of thirty fifth- and sixth-grade campers, I acted as a positive role model and led my beloved campers through their own social-emotional challenges and development. Alongside co-counselors, I developed creative solutions to issues and maintained a positive demeanor.

In this role, I oversaw the development of NFTY across North America by working with URJ, NFTY, and congregational staff to coordinate financial decisions. I communicated with donors and organized discussions and events for alumni. As a member of the North American Board, I mentored five regional boards and trained numerous regional leaders in grassroots.

As Regional President, I shaped the overall year-long experience of NFTY-NE centered on community, leadership, social justice, and other Jewish values for over 300 members. I worked with adult partners to organize logistics and transition back to large in-person retreats following the pandemic and directed teen leaders, such as my nine fellow regional.
