Designed and led development of core software platform, data models and product offerings for this DreamWorks Animation spin-off. Oversaw design of the foundational digital data management systems and scalable rendering solutions suitable for use in scaled complex CG and product visualization workflows. Designed the central real-time scalable rendering infrastructure. Led teams in the definition and development of the digital photography and digital manufacturing prototypes now being developed as products. Designed product configurator backends for use in various product businesses.

Advanced software systems research is my focus. I develop distributed memory parallel argorithms for use in computer graphics feature film production. I am also exploring the use of co-processors in our work (GPU, CellBe etc).I am currently leading the re-architecture of our film production software so that it can better take advantage of multi-core, many-core as well as distributed systems. We aim to deliver much better utilization of a single machine or hardware part and we also aim to deliver highly scalable software to enable the use of multiple machines in order to deliver interactive turn-around times for artists.Also of note, I was the Principal Investigator for DreamWorks Animation's multi-year Department of Energy Incite Project: "Real-Time Ray-Tracing".

I was the production software lead on "Stuart Little" and "Harry Potter: The Sorcerer's Stone". I also worked on many other films including "Spiderman", "Hollow Man" and "I Spy", My areas of focus included animation, rendering, visual effects, 2.5D compositing, motion control rigs.

Optimized NURBS curve and surface drawing functionality in the Modeler module of this modeling/animation/rendering suite.

I developed a hybrid surface display technique which mixed most of the performance of isolines with much of the information of true surface cross-sections.
