Internship within the Technology Research & Development department at CWS. Aided in the design, construction, and testing of a pilot reactor with the aim of determining if chloramination in tertiary treatment reduced harmful disinfection byproducts. Inherited a project that analyzed the rate of phosporous uptake in secondary treatment at differing parameters. Helped with numerous other laboratory projects.

Received training in both technical skills as well as teaching and communication skills. Standard workflow included teaching classes on physical and technical skills, while gym maintenance provided opportunity for more advanced work-at-height experience.

Worked as an intern on projects in several fields across Boeing's environmental compliance department. Investigated potential changes to stormwater outflow classifications and determined a course of action for potential future limits to outflow. Created a MATLAB software script to streamline data sorting from the plant's monthly wastewater treatment data. Participated in numerous conservation initiatives across the large industrial campus.
